Leaders Who Advance the Vision – Part 4

Greetings Leaders!

Here is part four of Leaders Who Advance the Vision as taken from Acts 6:1-7. The leaders chosen by the apostles were qualified (vs. 3, 5). They were not merely chosen but there were certain criteria they had to meet prior to their selection. “Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:” The qualifications of leaders who advance the vision:

– Honesty

– Full of the Holy Spirit

– Wisdom

– Capable of business oversight

– Full of faith

No vision can ever be brought into fulfillment without individuals that possess these qualifications. Assess yourself in these areas. How do you stack up? Where are you qualified? Where do you need to improve? Jim Collins said, “Great vision without great people is irrelevant.” Remember, your team’s vision is contingent upon having the right people working towards its completion.

Until tomorrow, Stay on Target!
